Illinois State Police and Chicago Police Department officers at about 1:45 a.m. Saturday were looking for a gray Toyota on eastbound 290 at Kostner and later at Independence. Police received a report of a gray Toyota with a passenger or driver holding a handgun out the window. At the eastbound I-290 at Independence a subject was reported to be firing the gun out the window of the Toyota.
A 39-year-old Calumet City man, whose name has not been released, was arrested and charged with reckless conduct, and driving under the influence of alcohol. No weapon was found with the man or in the vehicle.
