Arlington Heights firefighters responded about 12:20 p.m. Saturday to a house fire in the 400 block of Brampton Lane. Neighbors reported heavy smoke coming from the roof a house. Arlington Heights police arrived first to find fire coming from the roof. Firefighters arrived and rushed to the second floor, pulled down the ceiling and attacked the fire from the interior of the house. The fire was declared ‘knocked’ at about 12:30 p.m. No reported injuries.
The fire may have been caused by a lightning strike.
