Arlington Heights police received a report about 9:35 a.m. Tuesday of a theft at Office Depot in the 300 block of East Rand Road. The offender is described as a male/black, in his late 30’s, missing front teeth, and wearing a Cubs Jersey that may have been heading toward a gold getaway vehicle near the back of the complex driven by a female/black. The offender was reported to have stolen a router from the store.
A police officer found a male matching the description on a pay phone at the Citgo Station at Arlington Heights Road and Lillian. The subject was wanted for previous charges and was identified as the suspect in the Office Depot case. Arlington Heights transported him in custody to Arlington Heights police headquarter at about 10:15 a.m.
