Hit-and-Run DUI at Tanglewood Apartment on East Seegers

Arlington Heights police received a report about 3:50 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of East Seegers of a reckless driver driving on the apartment grounds of Tanglewood Apartments. While driving erratically on the lawn and parking lot, the offending vehicle struck a white Mercedes. Police arrived and found the offending vehicle — a silver Ford Taurus — and the driver. The driver was arrested for DUI. During the arrest, the driver kicked out the rear window of a squad car. Extra police units were called to the scene, and the suspect was transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Headquarters. The driver’s Ford Taurus was towed to a police holding area.
