Leads Concerning Two Year Old Case Are Produced by Major Drug Bust
Clinton Johnson, 23 and Matthew Zucco, 21, are both in jail in Illinois after they were arrested April 16, 2010 for the homicide of Joseph Ziegler of Hoffman Estates on September 4, 2008. Clinton Johnson, a U.S. Marine from North Carolina was extradited Friday. Both are charged with first-degree murder.
According to Hoffman Estates police, leads from operation ‘Dial-A-Rock’ that was revealed in mid-April, led to the arrest of Johnson and Zucco, who lived in Hanover Park. According to Hoffman Estates police, Johnson and Zucco intended to rob ‘Joey’ Ziegler at his home, but Ziegler ended up getting shot in the head by Zucco, as Zucco had him in a chokehold. The two fled, discarded the gun and bullets into a sewer, and burned their clothes at Johnson’s home, which at the time was in Streamwood. He was extradited Friday, after his arrest in April while residing at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point.
Joey Ziegler had played football for Schaumburg High School. His body was found in the basement by his father.
Clint Johnson has been a criminal since he was 10 years old. Look up his history and be ashamed our Marines would even allow a screwed up deilinquent with no future. This one is a lost cause, believe me you will hear from Clint Johnson again and again and again. He needs to be put in jail forever as he is a serious threat to society.
