AssociatedPress — April 11, 2010 — Police in Miami are searching for a person of interest in the shooting death of 7-year-old Jahnya Ware. The girl was a passenger in car and was killed by shots fired from another car on Northeast Miami Place near 64th Terrace about 9:00 p.m. Friday. The driver was also hit, but her identity has not been released initially.
A witness reported that there were over 10 seconds of straight rapid gunfire. Miami police were looking for 23-year-old Israel “Zako” Jean, whom they consider a “person of interest” who may know something about the crime.
