Driver Jesse O. Aragon-Rodriguez, 17, and classmate and passenger Adrian Omar Villegas, 16, were killed when their 2002 Honda convertible crashed into a tree in the 200 block of South York Road Monday afternoon. Bensenville Fire and Police arrived just after 4:10 p.m. Monday and found the Honda cut in half by high-speed impact with the tree. Jesse O. Aragon-Rodriguez was declared dead at the scene. Adrian Omar Villegas was transported to Loyola University Hospital in Maywood and pronounced dead at 4:56 p.m. A second speeding vehicle — only described as a dark-colored auto, possibly a Chevrolet Monte Carlo — continued north on York Road after the crash.
Both victims were students at Fenton High School.
Bensenville Police Department is working with the DuPage County Accident Reconstruction Team to investigate the crash. Police are asking that anyone with information about the crash call police at (630) 350-3455.
Villegas has also been reported spelled as Cielletas and Cilletas.
