A program of the Palatine Park District, the Palatine Children’s Chorus began 23 years ago with 18 children and now, under the direction of Susan Falbo, includes 150 young singers in 6 distinct choirs. Singers from more than 10 surrounding communities range in age from kindergarten through high school and are grouped based on age and level of musical accomplishment. Concert Choir and the select Honors singers from within this group perform in a variety of local venues in addition to their dates on the Cutting Hall stage each year. Concert and Honors Choirs travel every two years on performance and study tours. Their tours have taken them to festivals in Canada, Hawaii, Italy, Austria, Wales, and England where they have had the opportunity to study with internationally acclaimed conductors and meet other young singers from around the world to share their passion for music – truly the international language.
