Multiple Stabbing Victims (possibly five victims) … Developing …
Wheeling Police Department responded to a stabbing crime scene at a Halloween party in the 700 block of Dennis Road at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday. Two victims were stabbed and transported to a local hospital(s) by Wheeling Fire Department firefighter/paramedics. More stabbing victims likely. One stabbing victim reached an emergency room without paramedics about 3 hours after he was stabbed.
One suspect was in custody by 1:20 a.m. — captured by Wheeling police officers. Also, a male Hispanic knocked on the door of a house on Cindy Lane in the area and asked to use the phone during the police search. When he was refused access to the house and telephone, he fled.
Wheeling Police Department activity in the area of Elmhurst Road and Dennis Road, Dunhurst Shopping Center and other locations may be police officers searching for fleeing suspects, more injured victims that fled, and fleeing friends of the victims.
Offenders were reported to be yelling gang phrases to the victims during the stabbing. The crime scene is within three blocks (north) of Wheeling High School.
Police are looking for four male/Hispanic and at least three friends of the victims that also fled the scene.
The offenders are described as freshman or sophomore high school age male/Hispanics.
One suspect described as chubby 5’5″ wearing a black ski mask and black or blue hooded sweatshirt with baggy dark blue or black sweat pants.
A second suspect was described as 5′ 6″ with Fu Manchu mustache coming down to his chin. He was wearing a black sweat shirt and dark baggy pants.
The third and fourth offender/suspects were also described as wearing baggy pants.
At least three other people are also sought. They are reported to be three friends of the stabbing victims who also fled the crime scene before Wheeling police officers arrived.
