UPDATE: OFFENDERS IN CUSTODY – Monday, October 19th, 2009

Arlington Heights police responding to an armed robbery at the Mobil gas station at the corner of Arlington Heights Road and Golf Road at 11:29 p.m.
Suspect is described as a black/male, 6′ 0″, 180 lbs, wearing all black with a black hoodie pulled up. Offender ran westbound toward the back of the Jewel-Osco.
Glasses or googles also worn by the suspect. Suspect left the Mobil gas station at 1860 South Arlington Heights Road carrying a generic plastic bag with money from the cash register. The bag was a white plastic bag printed with the words ‘Thank you.’
Suspect armed with a 9 mm handgun.
Police activity in the Surrey Ridge neighborhood and in the area of Golf Road and Arlington Heights Road in search for suspect. Arlington Heights police have secured the doors at the Jewel-Osco until the area is determined to be secure.
