During a protest organized by MoveOn.org with about 100 protesters, a group of anti-health care reform protesters gathered just before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday across a street near the intersection of Hillcrest and Lynn Road in Thousand Oaks, California.

The 65 year-old anti-reform man who ended up losing his pinky finger (fifth digit) was attacked when he walked aggressively through the crowd of pro-reform protesters and struck a man. During the scuffle, the man who was hit, retaliated by biting off the finger of the anti-reform man. The injured man was able to carry his finger to Los Robles Hospital for treatment.

The intersection where the protesters gathered is near The Oaks mall near The 101 Freeway and Lynn Road. Biola University, a private evangelical Christian liberal arts university, has a satellite campus located near the intersection.

  1. My pinkie, my pinkie, my kingdom for a pinkie but I guess he has that terrible Medicare a “Single-payer health care insurance” what a hypocrite. Did the little pinkie cry “Wee-wee-wee!” all the way home? It real should have been his right pinky finger that would have been a better story. They are haters not debaters.
