Buffalo Grove Police Department and Fire Department responding about 2:50 p.m. Friday to a rear-end collision involving three buses on Buffalo Grove Road between Deerfield and Aptakistic. Reports of glass broken inside a bus with children on-board. Initially three children were reported injured, but eventually over 10 children were transported to area hospitals. Likely minor injuries, but not confirmed. The buses were transporting children from Twin Groves Middle School.
Arlington Heights Fire Department and Long Grove Fire Protection District ambulances responded as the third and fourth ambulances before the crash response went to an extra alarm ambulance level.
Fire Departments from Deerfield, Wheeling, Libertyville, Mundelein, Palatine Rural Fire Department, Rolling Meadows and Wauconda assisted Buffalo Grove Fire Department. Some ambulances went directly to the scene. Other ambulances and fire engines from other towns provided coverage in Buffalo Grove fire stations — ready to respond to other calls in Buffalo Grove.
Buffalo Grove Road was shut down at Deerfield.
Accident involving three buses in Buffalo Grove Friday occurred at about 2:45 p.m. brought an extra alarm ambulance response at the request of Buffalo Grove Fire Department.

i was in the accident it was really sacry and my sister and a few more people had 2 go to the hospital but they r all ok now
