Schaumburg Police Department investigating a shooting near the Hyatt Summerfield Suites at 1251 American Lane about 3:00 a.m. Sunday. Arlington Heights Police Department K-9 Unit called in to assist about 3:10 a.m.
A witness claims that the argument started at John Barleycorn, a popular Schaumburg bar at the corner of American Lane and National Parkway and the argument continued while people involved in the shooting walked east down American Lane. A 22 year-old man from Winfield was apparently shot multiple times in the course of the fight. A 26 year-old DuPage County man is a suspect, but has not been arrested as of Monday.
The gunshot victim was transported by Schaumburg Fire Department paramedics to Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
