Arlington Heights Fire Department put out a house fire in less than 20 minutes late Tuesday night. Neighbors called the fire department about 10:30 p.m. reporting dark gray smoke coming from a ranch home in the 600 block of South Dunton Avenue. Upon arrival, Arlington Heights firefighters reported a well-involved house fire. The fire may have started in the basement. No fire extended up to the attic. The fire was knocked down by 10:50 p.m.
The house at 621 South Dunton Avenue was reported unoccupied and primary and secondary searches completed by 10:45 p.m. found no victims inside the house.
Rolling Meadows Fire Department assisted Arlington Heights Fire Department. The house fire is under investigation.
