Arlington’s game today under protest. Arlington lost to Edwardsville 8-4, but in the 7th inning with Arlington winning 4-2, an umpire disallowed a switch involving Kyle Gaedele. The action of the umpire was protested by Lloyd Meyer — the first protest of his long career — and the protest was upheld. Arlington will pick up tomorrow at the exact point of today’s game in the 7th inning with a 4-2 lead.
