An out-of-control Jeep Cherokee landed on the passenger side at the height of evening rush hour at Rand and Dryden.
Two accidents at Rand and Dryden, one at 4:00 p.m. and one at about 4:55 p.m. caused a rush hour jam. The first accident was a Jeep Cherokee that went out of control, rolled over and rested on its side on the northwest corner of Rand and Dryden near Teddy’s Liquors. No injured persons transported, but Arlington Heights police and fire were originally notified that a child was thrown from the SUV.
In the second accident, this time with injures and about 45 minutes later, three cars collided with air bags deployed.
Both accidents had agitated drivers with traffic seriously congested with detours to Thomas to the south and Palatine Road to the north.
