Police search the building where a burglary in progress was reported and arrest two suspects as bystanders watch. Arlington Heights police officers used a K-9 Unit and a fire department ladder for a thorough search.
Arlington Heights Police received a report of a burglary in progress just before 7:00 p.m. Sunday and quickly nabbed to male suspects inside or near a building in the 200 block of North Dunton Avenue. One suspect was a black male and the other suspect’s description was not known.
Arlington Heights police officers had reason to believe they had more suspects with evidence of a break-in at the back of a commercial building on Dunton Avenue. A K-9 unit and backup units were requested to search and guard the perimeter of the building. Eventually the Arlington Heights Fire Department was requested to bring a ladder so that police officers could search the roof for any suspects that might be hiding on the roof. No additional suspects were found, but the two original suspects were arrested and taken to lockup at Arlington Heights Road and Sigwalt.
