Blues Bar — a new blues bar — opened in downtown Mount Prospect [MAP/SAT] Thursday night at the corner of Busse and Main Street. It’s a two-story, 4000 square foot blues bar with a ‘Blue Brothers’ feel.
Cop Motor … cop tires … cop suspension … cop shocks …
Is it the new Bluesmobile or what?
The Bluesmobile used in the movie, which actually was modeled on a 1974 Mount Prospect police car is a main attraction right inside the dining area. You’ll also find dancing Jake and Ellwood replicas and themes based on the 1980’s movie “The Blues Brothers” filmed on location in Chicago and suburbs.
The Blues Bar features many more attractions:
A two-story mural of famous Chicago blues entertainers.
A bar is built to allow for private parties and has a second-floor atrium that overlooks the performer’s stage decorated with Blues Brothers memorabilia.
A 16X9-foot television display.
More television displays and decorations, highlighted by tiny martini lights.
