Microsoft has introduced HealthVault for connecting home health, fitness and wellness monitoring devices, such as sports watches, blood glucose monitors, blood pressure monitors, heart rate monitors, peak flow meters to your Windows computer and ultimately to transfer data to websites that store health and fitness information. Some of these websites include Blood Pressure Management Center from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association, CapMed (relevant medical records readily available “In Case of Emergency (ICE)”), Healthy Circles (online tool to easily manage and store your health information with interactive graphs and health reports for individuals and health care providers) and Microsoft’s own HealthVault (personal health information storage).
There is a section for device driver downloads from Home Diagnostics, Johnson & Johnson LifeScan, Microlife, Omron, and Polar.
Earlier this year, AOL co-founder Steve Case launched Revolution Health, a health information site and personal site where individuals can build their own health pages.
