Except for the northern horizon, residents of Vista, California experienced a beautiful, but dry day, with Santa Ana winds and fears that they could be called to evacuate with the start of a new fire.
Santa Ana winds are warm, dry winds that blow northeast to southwest and characteristically appear in Southern California and Northern Baja California weather during autumn and early winter.
