An Illinois State Police Trooper’s police car was struck by a driver under the influence while the trooper already had another driver pulled over for arrest for driving under the influence about 2:50 a.m. Sunday in the eastbound lanes of the Eisenhower Expressway, near the Oakley Boulevard bridge in Chicago [MAP/SAT].
A 29-year-old Chicago man, who was originally pulled over, and a 49-year-old Chicago woman who hit the squad car were both arrested and charged with felony DUI’s.
The Illinois State Police Trooper and both DUI drivers were transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
