Buffalo Grove Fire Department and other departments fighting a basement
fire at 883 Saxon starting at about 8:45 p.m. People and/or rescuers may have been trapped. Two fatalities and injured victims are reported, including three injured
firefighters. Fire departments from Arlington Heights, Barrington, Lake
Forest, Lincolnshire, Long Grove, Mount Prospect, Palatine, Prospect
Heights, and Wheeling. Six ambulances were requested to the scene.
