Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:50 AM Wednesday to a report of a transformer fire at Higgins Road and Mall Drive Schaumburg, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics discovered several stoplights out and power out in the area.
The Village of Schaumburg reported about 7:18 a.m. that all traffic signals were restored, except for the signals at Higgins Road (Route 72) and Mall Drive.
Com Ed reports about 244 customers are without power near Higgins Road and Mall Drive with an estimated restoration of 8:45 a.m.
